The Lord Jesus conveyed to the mystic Alicja Lenczewska words concerning God’s love, which can be a source of comfort for every person.
Alicja Lenczewska (1934–2012) was a lay, unmarried woman and a teacher by profession. After her conversion at the age of 51, she experienced for the first time a mystical encounter with the Lord Jesus. From then on, her conversations with the Saviour became her spiritual nourishment and transformed her life. Written down in two volumes: Testimony (T) and Word of Instruction (WI) they were examined after her death by a theological commission and received the imprimatur of the vicar general, Bishop Henryk Wejman. ✠ I am Love. My nature is love, and My desire is to love. That is why I created you, human beings, as weak, helpless creatures in need of My love. I want to give you everything. I have so much to distribute—come to Me, all of you. I desire to purify and sanctify you—My beloved children, born of love and for love. My love is unlimited and will never end. You need only open your hearts and receive. The more you receive, the greater My joy will be. Everything: the whole world and each one of you breathes with My love and exists thanks to it. My love is life. Your life is My love within you (T. 355).
✠ Ask for love, and I will give it and fill you with it. Ask only for love—everything is contained in it and flows from it. I am Love, and I desire to be in the fullness of your heart. Reveal your heart and say what its state is. What is your life, what is your hardship, what is your pain, what is your joy? (T. 576)
✠ Desire to fulfil My will, and fulfil it. Ask for help. Present all matters to Me as they arise. Tell Me what gives you joy, what you have already done, and what is difficult. Bring everything to Me with love and trust. These will be your daily gifts for Me. I have everything and possess everything; I lack only these gifts of yours.
Run to Me with everything you have and everything that appears before you. Run with joy, because you have a Father and Friend who will receive everything and will remedy everything. And who will rejoice, seeing your trust and joy. I desire to help everyone. So few turn to Me, though I am beside them and wait with outstretched arms full of love and effective power (T. 223).
✠ Everything that exists is made of Love. And you too are made of Love. And you are a vessel for love. And in this vessel I have placed the seed of eternal life in Love.
Whether a plant will grow from it, whether it will blossom, whether it will bear fruit—depends on you. It depends on careful cultivation and protection throughout the time I give you, through the use of the gifts of My grace that flow down upon you. The vessel must be filled with the flowers of love and the fruits of deeds that give birth to love in the hearts of My children (WI. 346).
✠ I love you, My child; remain in Me. Do not be discouraged by any difficulties or by what you do not understand. Everything is the fruit of My will and tends toward My glory. Submit yourself to the events I place on your path. I love you, and everything is a gift of love for you (T. 694).
✠ A person is shaped more by situations than by My word. That is why a person’s fate is a sequence of situations educating him. Such is My action leading each one to salvation. Most do not understand this. They defend themselves against My saving action in their lives. And they reject it, because they have free will. They choose an apparent, immediate good. For what is not from Me is not good, although it may create the appearance of good in order to deceive and draw one away from Me. Often it turns out to be evil already in this life. If a person understands this, he is saved. If not—he continues on toward his destruction like a blind man, because that is what he truly is. It is the blindness of the soul, which he kills by his own will. Only a great shock, pain, or the help of another can stop him and open the eyes of his soul. Prayer and sacrifice for a lost person are very helpful. They always bear fruit (T. 149).
✠ Everyone lives in the world for as much time as is necessary for the sanctification of his soul. There is no comparison between people. Each one has the time proper to himself, the conditions of sanctification proper to himself. Therefore, one must discern one’s own path to God and trustingly submit to My guidance.
The vocation of each person is to support neighbours on their path of salvation: to bear witness to My goodness and love. Do not think that holiness can be attained by thinking about oneself and being occupied with oneself. One must think about God and, in humility of heart, desire Him. And one must care for neighbours, so that they may not die in their sins (WI. 163).
